This information is transcribed from “Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula Death Records and 
Cemetery Inscriptions” compiled by Kenai Totem Tracers copyright 1983 page 46.

This private cemetery is located on the Monfor property at Mile 6.5 North Road, 
about 200 yards north of the Monfor house.  It was originally situated on the Monfor 
homestead on Salamatof Road in North Kenai.  It was moved to the present location in 
1966 when Standard Oil Company bought the Monfor homestead to build the Standard Oil 
dock.  It is privately maintained.

	1873 - 1962

* James MAMALOFF was first husband of Bertha MONFOR and father of Nadia ENGELSTADT.

2.	Nick MARALOFF *
	Oct 20, 1929 - Apr 16, 1961
	Rest in Peace

* Nick MARALOFF drowned in Cook Inlet.

3.	Manuel MONFOR *
	Feb 22, 1928 - July 22, 1956

* Manuel MONFOR, son of John MONFOR, by a previous marriage, was killed in an airplane crash.

4.	Warren J. MONFOR
	Mar 25, 1953 - Nov 27, 1953

5.	John MONFOR, Sr. *
	Nov 24, 1894 - Feb 26, 1960
	Father - Friend

* John MONFOR, Sr., came to Kenai to work in the cannery.  He was Filipino.  
After his marriage to Bertha the MONFORs homesteaded on Salamatof Beach, adjacent 
to the present Standard Oil Dock.

6.	Bertha Jane MONFOR
	Feb 28, 1907 - Nov 22, 1974

7.	Baby JORDAN
	Child of Ernie and Margie MONFOR JORDAN
