Chas. AMES Dies; Funeral Tuesday. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the local Methodist-Congregational church for Charles Sumner AMES, who died Saturday evening at his home on South Main street. Rev. H.D. TOMLIN will officiate, and interment will be made in the El Reno cemetery. BRACKEN funeral home will be in charge of arrangements. Mrs. AMES was born April 2, 1876, in Macon, Mo. In 1916, he came to Kingfisher from Coffeyville, Kans., to assume managership of the LOGAN-AMES company store. While young he united with the Presbyterian church, and later became a member of the Congregational church of Kingfisher. He was a member of the official church board at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Gladys CRANE, of Kingfisher; a sister, Mrs. Ella ENGLISH, of Topeka, Kans.; and two nephews.
